KENULE BEESON SARO-WIWA POLYTECHNIC, BORI ANNOUNCES 25TH–32ND COMBINED CONVOCATION CEREMONY
The management of Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, has announced the schedule of activities for its 25th–32nd Combined Convocation Ceremony, which has been approved to hold on Saturday, 29th August, 2026.
According to the institution, the combined convocation ceremony will celebrate graduates from several academic sessions and will feature a series of activities, including the collection of convocation materials, a media briefing, tree planting, a convocation lecture, rehearsal, the main convocation ceremony, and a thanksgiving service.
The Polytechnic further stated that the event is all-encompassing and requires the active participation of all staff members, particularly in ensuring environmental cleanliness, security, and the smooth conduct of the ceremony.
Programme of Activities
The approved programme of activities is as follows:
Monday, 24th August – Wednesday, 26th August, 2026
- Collection of Convocation Packs by graduands at the Bursary and designated centres.
Wednesday, 26th August, 2026
- Media briefing by the Acting Rector.
- Tree planting exercise at designated locations in the Schools of Engineering and Management Sciences.
Thursday, 27th August, 2026
- Convocation Lecture
- Venue: Convocation Arena
- Time: 11:00 a.m.
Friday, 28th August, 2026
- Rehearsal of Academic Procession
- Venue: Convocation Arena
- Time: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, 29th August, 2026
- 25th–32nd Combined Convocation Ceremony
- Venue: Convocation Arena, School of Engineering Campus
- Time: 10:00 a.m.
Sunday, 30th August, 2026
- Thanksgiving Service
- Venue: Chapel of Jesus Christ, School of Management Sciences (SMS) Campus
- Time: 10:00 a.m.
Notice to Graduands
Graduating students are advised to collect their convocation packs within the stipulated period and participate in the rehearsal ahead of the main ceremony. They are also expected to comply with all directives issued by the Polytechnic regarding the convocation exercise.
Members of staff have equally been directed to give their maximum support to ensure the successful organization of the combined convocation ceremony.
The Polytechnic congratulates all graduands on the successful completion of their academic programmes and wishes them success in their future careers. Parents, guardians, alumni, invited guests, and members of the general public are also invited to attend the activities lined up for the institution’s 25th–32nd Combined Convocation Ceremony.
