PRINCE ABUBAKAR AUDU UNIVERSITY (PAAU), ANYIGBA RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its School of Postgraduate Studies for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University’s Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes across various faculties.

Available Postgraduate Programmes

Admission is available into postgraduate programmes under the following faculties:

• Faculty of Agriculture
• Faculty of Arts and Humanities
• Faculty of Education
• Faculty of Management Sciences
• Faculty of Law
• Faculty of Natural Sciences
• Faculty of Social Sciences
• Faculty of Communication and Media Studies

The programmes available include:

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
• Master’s Degree (M.A., M.Sc., MBA, M.Ed., LL.M., MALD, MLIS, MEM and others)
• M.Phil./Ph.D.
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

Admission Requirements

Ph.D. Programmes

Applicants seeking admission into the Ph.D. programmes must:

• Possess a Master’s Degree from Prince Abubakar Audu University or any recognized university in the relevant discipline.
• Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00-point scale or its equivalent.
• Candidates who do not meet the required CGPA may apply for the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme where available.

Master’s Degree Programmes

Applicants must:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from Prince Abubakar Audu University or any recognized university in a relevant discipline.
• Meet the minimum CGPA requirement prescribed for the intended programme.
• Possess the relevant O’Level requirements.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Candidates must possess:

• A minimum of a Third Class Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university, or
• A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit in a related discipline.

General Admission Requirements

All applicants must satisfy the University’s minimum O’Level requirements, including:

• Five (5) credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings.
• English Language is compulsory for all programmes.
• Mathematics is compulsory for Science-based, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Education programmes.

Application Fee

Applicants are required to pay:

• ₦35,000 for Ph.D. programmes.
• ₦25,000 for all other postgraduate programmes.
