AUCHI POLYTECHNIC RELEASES FIRST SEMESTER ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Auchi Polytechnic has officially released the approved First Semester Academic Calendar for the 2026/2027 Academic Session for students in the Morning Programme.

The calendar outlines important academic activities, including resumption dates, registration, lectures, orientation, matriculation, examinations, and the commencement of the second semester.

10th August, 2026

• ND I students commence their four (4) months Industrial Training (IT).

17th August, 2026

• Departmental Board Meetings for the consideration of 2025/2026 Second Semester Examination Results.

24th August, 2026

• School Board Meetings to consider the 2025/2026 Second Semester Examination Results.

31st August – 2nd September, 2026

• Academic Board Meetings for the consideration of the 2025/2026 Second Semester Examination Results.

13th September, 2026

• New students resume.

14th September, 2026

• Registration begins for newly admitted students.

20th September, 2026

• Returning students resume.

21st September, 2026

• Lectures commence for all students.

30th September, 2026

• Lectures begin for ND II students returning from Industrial Training.

1st October, 2026

• National Day Public Holiday.

7th December, 2026

• Mid-Semester Test.

16th – 17th December, 2026

• Orientation programme for newly admitted students (Morning Programme).

18th December, 2026

• Mid-Semester/Christmas Break begins.

3rd January, 2027

• Students resume for the continuation of the First Semester.

4th January, 2027

• Lectures continue for all students.

6th January, 2027

• Registration closes for all students.

7th January, 2027

• Matriculation Ceremony for fresh students.

10th January, 2027

• School of Art and Industrial Design begins First Semester Examinations.

18th January, 2027

• All other schools commence First Semester Examinations.

12th February, 2027

• First Semester Examinations end for all students.

13th February, 2027

• Students are to vacate the hostels.

1st March, 2027

• Students resume for the Second Semester.

5th March, 2027

Management Advises Students to Adhere to the Calendar

The Polytechnic management advised all students to familiarize themselves with the approved academic timetable and ensure they comply with all registration, lecture, examination, and other academic schedules.

Students are particularly encouraged to complete their registration within the stipulated period, participate actively in lectures and orientation activities, and prepare adequately for the semester examinations.
