NUHU BAMALLI POLYTECHNIC ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATE FOR 3RD AND 2ND SEMESTERS OF THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic has reaffirmed that the official resumption date for students returning from the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) remains Monday, 7th September, 2026.
According to the Polytechnic, the clarification became necessary following the circulation of conflicting information regarding the resumption date for SIWES returnees.
The institution explained that the directive applies to ND I, NCE II, and Diploma I students who are currently undergoing the SIWES programme and are expected to resume as ND II, Diploma II, and NCE III students after completing their industrial training.
SIWES Duration Remains Four Months
The Polytechnic noted that the resumption date is based on the approved statutory duration of the SIWES programme, which spans four months (16 weeks), as well as the institution’s revised academic calendar.
Consequently, all affected students are expected to resume academic activities on Monday, 7th September, 2026, after completing their industrial attachment.
Disregard Unverified Information
The management urged students and staff to ignore any contrary information that has not been officially released by the Polytechnic.
Students are advised to rely only on verified announcements issued through the institution’s official communication channels to avoid being misled.
Management Directs Schools to Take Note
The notice has also been brought to the attention of all Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments (HODs), and other relevant officers, who have been directed to ensure compliance with the approved resumption schedule.
The Polytechnic thanked members of the institution for their cooperation and advised all affected students to make the necessary preparations ahead of the September 7 resumption date.
