KADUNA STATE UNIVERSITY (KASU) RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
Kaduna State University (KASU) has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Postgraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session. The online application portal officially opened on 20th August, 2026, and will remain open until 31st October, 2026.
Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply for admission into the University’s various Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Professional Master’s, Academic Master’s, MPhil/PhD, and Doctorate (PhD) programmes.

Applicants are required to visit the Kaduna State University postgraduate application portal to begin the application process.

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of:
- ₦10,000 for Nigerian applicants
- $20 for International applicants
Available Postgraduate Programmes
Admission is available into the following categories:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Professional Master’s Programmes
- Academic Master’s Programmes
- MPhil/PhD Programmes
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes

Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Applicants must possess:
- Five O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least Third Class in a relevant discipline; or
- A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) in an unrelated field may be considered; or
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in a related discipline.
- Candidates with Pass degrees or Pass HND are not eligible.
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
Professional Master’s Programmes
Candidates must have:
- Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with at least Second Class Lower Division; or
- A Third Class Degree or HND plus a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.50.
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
Academic Master’s Programmes
Applicants must possess:
- Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- A Bachelor’s Degree with:
- Minimum CGPA of 3.00 for applicants into the College of Science, Computing and Engineering.
- At least Second Class Lower Division for applicants into other colleges.
- Candidates with lower CGPA may be considered if they possess a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.50.
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
MPhil/PhD Programmes
Applicants must possess:
- Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division.
- An Academic Master’s Degree with CGPA below the PhD requirement.
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Candidates must have:
- Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division.
- An Academic Master’s Degree with:
- Minimum CGPA of 4.00 in the College of Science, Computing and Engineering.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.50 in other colleges.
- A tentative research proposal of 1,000–1,500 words, which must be uploaded during the application process.
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
Application Guidelines
Applicants should follow these steps:
- Visit the KASU postgraduate application portal.
- Create an account using a valid email address and password.
- Log in to complete the online application form.
- Upload all required documents.
- Submit the application after completing all sections.
Candidates offered provisional admission into Master’s, MPhil/PhD and PhD programmes will be required to present:
- Academic transcripts
- Original credentials
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate
during registration.
