JAMB Introduces Home-Based O’Level Result Upload and Verification for Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, reducing the need to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the process.

The initiative is part of the Board’s efforts to make its services faster, safer, easier and more accessible to candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

According to JAMB, the new arrangement begins with the verification of candidates’ results directly from the examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), starting with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Through the new system, candidates can verify their results and subsequently upload them to their JAMB profiles without relying entirely on manual result-entry processes at CBT centres.

Why JAMB Introduced the New O’Level Result System

1. JAMB explained that the initiative is designed to address several challenges associated with the traditional manual upload of O’Level results.
2. These challenges include misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors that may occur when candidates’ subjects and grades are entered manually.
3. With the new technology-driven system, JAMB can verify candidates’ results directly against records held by the relevant examination bodies.
4. The verified results can then be downloaded into the candidate’s JAMB profile, helping to improve the accuracy and reliability of O’Level information used during the admission process.

How to Verify Your O’Level Result

Candidates who wish to use the new service are expected to complete the verification process before proceeding with the O’Level result upload.

First Level: Verification of Results

Step 1: Visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng.

Step 2: Enter your NIN and click on “Verify NIN.”

Step 3: Select the number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or examination bodies, then click “Continue.”

Step 4: Enter your valid email address and GSM number and click “Pay Now.”

You will then be redirected to the payment gateway.

Step 5: Make payment using your preferred available payment option, such as debit card or bank transfer.

Step 6: After successful payment, enter your examination details, including:

• Examination number
• Examination series
• Examination year

Step 7: Verify your result or results based on the number of sittings selected and proceed to obtain your Verification Code.

Second Level: How to Upload O’Level Result

After obtaining the Verification Code, candidates can proceed with the upload process.

Step 8: Send “VERIFY” followed by your Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.

Step 9: Your result will be uploaded, and you will receive a notification.

Step 10: Candidates with two sittings will be notified to visit their JAMB e-Facility profile.

Step 11: Log in to your e-Facility dashboard and click on “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”

Step 12: Enter your Verification Code. Your two verified results will then be displayed.

Step 13: Select the required subjects from the displayed results.

Candidates should ensure that:

• A minimum of 5 subjects is selected.
• A maximum of 9 subjects is selected.
• No subject is selected more than once.

Step 14: Click on “Apply the O’Level Results.”

Step 15: Upon successful submission, candidates will receive a notification confirming that their O’Level results have been uploaded.
