The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially activated the portal for candidates to print their 2026 Original UTME Result Slip.

This development means that candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now access and print the official version of their results directly from the JAMB portal.

The Original UTME Result Slip is an important document required for admission processing in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

What Is the Original UTME Result Slip?

The Original UTME Result Slip is different from the normal result notification candidates usually check online or receive via SMS.

The original slip contains:

  • Candidate’s passport photograph
  • Full registration details
  • Institution and course chosen
  • UTME subject combination
  • Individual subject scores
  • Total UTME score
  • Official JAMB authentication

Most schools request this document during:

  • Post-UTME screening
  • Physical clearance
  • Admission documentation
  • Scholarship applications
  • Verification exercises

Because of its importance, candidates are advised to print and keep multiple copies safely.

How to Print Your 2026 Original JAMB Result Slip

Step 1: Visit the JAMB Portal

Go to the official JAMB portal: JAMB Official Website

Step 2: Login to Your JAMB Profile

Enter your registered email address and password used during UTME registration.

Step 3: Locate “Print Result Slip”

After logging in, click on the option that says:

“Print Original Result Slip”

Step 4: Make Payment

Candidates will be required to make a payment before accessing the result slip.

The fee is usually around ₦1,500 excluding additional service charges that may apply at CBT centres or cybercafés.

Step 5: Download and Print

After successful payment, candidates can proceed to download and print the result slip.

It is advisable to print it in coloured format because the passport photograph and other security details will appear clearer.

Important Things Candidates Should Know

1. Check All Your Details Carefully

After printing, candidates should verify that:

  • Name spelling is correct
  • Date of birth is accurate
  • UTME subjects are correct
  • Scores match previous records

Any issue noticed should be reported immediately.

2. Keep Multiple Copies

Candidates are advised to print at least 2–3 copies and save a PDF version on their phone or email for future use.

3. Schools May Start Requesting It Soon

Now that the portal has been activated, many institutions are expected to begin requesting the Original UTME Result Slip during:

  • Post-UTME registration
  • Screening exercises
  • Admission verification
  • Candidates should avoid waiting until the last minute.

Why This Matters for 2026 Admission

The activation of the result slip portal is another major step in the 2026 admission process.

With many institutions already announcing cut-off marks and Post-UTME plans, candidates are expected to begin preparing all necessary admission documents early.

Printing the Original UTME Result Slip ahead of time helps candidates avoid unnecessary delays during admission processing.

Candidates are therefore encouraged to remain updated with official information from JAMB and their chosen institutions as the 2026 admission season progresses.
