The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially commenced the Conversion Service, providing eligible candidates with another opportunity to align their admission plans with their current academic qualifications.

This development is particularly beneficial for candidates who initially registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but have now obtained qualifications that make them eligible for Direct Entry (DE). It also serves Direct Entry applicants who wish to change their preferred institution during the admission process.

UTME to Direct Entry (DE) Conversion

Candidates who originally applied through UTME but have now acquired approved qualifications such as the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), IJMB, JUPEB, or any other acceptable Direct Entry qualification can now convert their UTME application to Direct Entry.

This conversion enables eligible candidates to seek admission directly into the 200 Level of their preferred institution, provided they satisfy the admission requirements of the institution and the course they intend to study.

Change of Institution for Direct Entry Candidates

JAMB has also made it possible for Direct Entry candidates to process a Change of Institution. Candidates who wish to select a different university, polytechnic, college of education, or any other tertiary institution can now do so by visiting a JAMB office.

This opportunity is important for candidates who have reconsidered their institution of choice due to admission requirements, course availability, or personal preference.
