UBA Foundation Essay Competition for Nigerian Students 2020

The United Bank of Africa (UBA) is offering the 2020 Foundation Essay Competition for Nigerian Students which is targeted at senior secondary school students in Nigeria. This Foundation initiative is aimed at promoting the reading culture and encouraging healthy and intellectual competition amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and across Africa.

Application Deadline: 4th November, 2019.

Essay Topic: This year, the topic is “What do you think the government should do to control fraud in Nigeria?”

Number of Scholarships: 3

Value of Award: The first prize for the UBA National Essay Competition is a N2 million educational grant, while the second and third prizes are N1.5 million and N1m educational grants respectively.

Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must;

Be a Secondary School student
Be Nigerian
Application Process:

Interested applicants should send in handwritten essay entries of not more than 750 words on the competiiton topic.
Applicants must submit their completed contact information (Name and Address of school telephone number, residential and email addresses.
Applicants must attach photocopies of their original birth certificates or international passport data page.
