AKWA IBOM STATE POLYTECHNIC ANNOUNCES ND/HND SCREENING EXERCISE FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has announced the schedule for the screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The screening exercise is expected to provide the institution with an opportunity to verify the credentials and admission requirements of prospective students who applied for its various ND and HND programmes.

According to a public notice signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Godswill E. Udofah, MNIM, the screening exercise will take place over three days.

SCREENING DATE, TIME AND VENUE

The screening exercise is scheduled as follows:

Date: Wednesday, September 9 – Friday, September 11, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM daily
Venue: Respective departments of the candidates

All prospective candidates have been directed to report to their respective departments on their scheduled screening dates.

Candidates are advised to arrive early and ensure that they have all the necessary documents required for the exercise.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS FOR ND CANDIDATES

Candidates seeking admission into the National Diploma (ND) programmes are required to come with the following documents:

1. JAMB Online Result Printout
2. WAEC/NECO Statement of Result
3. Acknowledgement Slip of Form Purchase

Candidates should ensure that the information contained in their documents is accurate and corresponds with the information provided during the application process.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS FOR HND CANDIDATES

Prospective students applying for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes are required to present the following:

1. ND Statement of Result
2. Acknowledgement Slip of Form Purchase
3. WAEC/NECO Statement of Result
4. Letter of Completion of Industrial Attachment

HND candidates should ensure that all required documents are available before reporting for the screening exercise.

ORIGINAL CREDENTIALS REQUIRED

The Polytechnic has also directed all candidates to come along with the original copies of their credentials for sighting during the screening exercise.

Candidates are advised to organise their documents properly and ensure that both the required documents and original credentials are available to avoid unnecessary delays during the verification process.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES TO BE NOTIFIED

Following the completion of the screening exercise, the institution stated that the names of successful candidates will be published, while candidates will also be notified accordingly.

Prospective students are therefore encouraged to participate in the screening exercise on the specified dates and regularly monitor official communication channels for further updates regarding the admission process.
