THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ILARO (NOW FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, ILARO) RELEASES OPEN DISTANCE FLEXIBLE E-LEARNING (ODFEL) ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro is inviting applications for its Higher National Diploma (HND) Open Distance & Flexible E-Learning (ODFEL) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. The programme runs fully online and is open to suitably qualified candidates who hold a National Diploma from a recognised institution.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold an ND at Lower Credit and above in a relevant discipline.

The ND must have been completed with a minimum of two years of Industrial Training (IT) experience.

Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NABTEC.

Candidates awaiting their last O’Level results may apply but must upload the results to the JAMB portal before final submission.

International candidates are not exempted from the screening exercise.

How to Apply

Apply through the JAMB portal for the 2026/2027 ODFEL HND admission.

Visit the institution’s website at www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng, click “New Application,” then “Apply Now” to complete the online registration form.

Pay the non-refundable registration fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000) at any of these banks: Polaris Bank, First Bank, GTBank, Access Bank, or Zenith Bank Plc. The invoice and RRR receipt must bear the applicant’s name.

Your ND academic transcript must be sent directly by your ND-awarding institution in a sealed envelope addressed to the Registrar. Candidates who did not graduate from Federal Polytechnic Ilaro must submit under confidential cover. The transcript must be received before your application form can be submitted.

Register on the NITF HND Admission Portal — this is mandatory for all HND applicants.

ODFEL candidates will be issued a Certificate of Exclusion by the NYSC.
