The management of Sokoto State University (SSU), Sokoto has issued an important notice to all candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session, directing them to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

The university stated that the directive applies to both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected Sokoto State University as their first-choice institution and meet the minimum admission requirements.

Who Is Eligible?

According to the university, the notice is for candidates who:

• Selected Sokoto State University (SSU), Sokoto as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME registration.
• Scored at least 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
• Applied through the Direct Entry (DE) admission route.

Upload Your O’Level Results to JAMB Portal

All eligible candidates are required to upload their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results to the JAMB portal.

Accepted O’Level qualifications include:

• WAEC (WASSCE)
• NECO
• NABTEB
• NBAIS
• Any other approved equivalent examination

The upload can be completed at any JAMB-accredited CBT Centre nationwide.

O’Level Admission Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes, including:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Three other subjects relevant to their chosen course of study

The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

Important Notice

The university emphasized that only candidates who successfully upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal will be processed for admission.

Failure to upload the required results may prevent a candidate from being considered for admission, regardless of their UTME score or other qualifications.
