The management of Taraba State University (TASU), Jalingo, has officially commenced the 2026/2027 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its various undergraduate programmes.

Suitably qualified UTME and Direct Entry applicants are invited to register for the screening exercise, which will run from Friday, 24th July, 2026 to Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026.

The University emphasized that only candidates who participate in the online screening exercise will be considered for admission.

Registration Period

The online screening exercise has been scheduled as follows:

• Opening Date: Friday, 24th July, 2026
• Closing Date: Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026

Applicants are advised to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid missing the admission opportunity.

Eligibility Requirements

UTME Candidates

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:

• Have selected Taraba State University, Jalingo as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME.
• Score a minimum of 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
• Possess at least five (5) relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

Direct Entry applicants must possess:

• A minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), IJMB, or any other recognized equivalent qualification.
• Five (5) relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
