The Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, has officially announced its 24th–36th Combined Convocation Ceremony, inviting graduates, parents, alumni, education stakeholders, and members of the general public to participate in the landmark celebration.

The event is being organised under the leadership of the Provost, Dr. James Azuka Olisa, alongside the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, Congregation, and Students of the institution.

As part of the convocation activities, the institution will host its Convocation Lecture on Wednesday, 18th November, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. at the School of Science Lecture Hall, Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba.

COMBINED CONVOCATION TO HONOUR GRADUATES FROM 2013/2014 TO 2025/2026

The combined convocation ceremony will celebrate graduates from multiple academic sessions, spanning 2013/2014 to 2025/2026.

The ceremony will cover graduates from the following programmes:

  • NCE Full-Time Programmes
  • NCE Regular Part-Time Programmes
  • NCE Weekend Part-Time Programmes
  • Professional Diploma in Education (PDE)

The institution described the event as a major milestone that reflects years of academic excellence, institutional growth, and commitment to producing qualified teachers and professionals.

CONVOCATION ACTIVITIES

The combined convocation programme will feature several important activities, including:

  • Media Parley
  • Commissioning of Projects
  • Convocation Lecture

These activities are expected to showcase the institution’s achievements while providing opportunities for interaction among graduates, academics, government officials, and other stakeholders in the education sector.

CONVOCATION LECTURE THEME

The highlight of the event will be the Convocation Lecture with the theme:

“TVET AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.”

The lecture will examine the critical role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in promoting skills development, innovation, entrepreneurship, economic growth, and national development.

The lecture will be delivered by:

Prof. C. B. N. Ogbogbo (FHSN)
Vice-Chancellor, Admiralty University of Nigeria, Ibusa.
