DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY ABRAKA (DELSU) RELEASES CERTIFICATE/POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the underlisted regular and part-time postgraduate programmes leading to the award of Certificates and Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDs) of the Delta State University, Abraka for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES (SIX MONTHS)

1. Certificate in Digital Marketing

2. Certificate in Cybercrime Studies

3. Certificate in Waste Management and Innovation

4. Certificate in Oil Infrastructure Protection

5. Certificate in Information Management Systems

6. Certificate in Leadership Studies

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)

(FULL-TIME 2 SEMESTERS; PART-TIME 4 SEMESTERS)

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Conflict, Peace and Security Studies

2. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Environmental Management and Restoration

3. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Sustainable Development

4. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Leadership Studies

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES:

Candidates applying for the certificate programmes must have SSCE/WASSCE (Five credit-level passes including English and Mathematics).

Bachelor’s degree/HND/OND/Diploma holders may also apply for the certificate programmes.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD) PROGRAMMES

A candidate applying for a Postgraduate Diploma programmes must satisfy the general requirements. In addition, be holders of a Bachelor’s degree (not lower than Third Class) in Social Sciences, Humanities, Law, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or any other disciplines from Delta State University or a university/institution recognized by DELSU senate with at least Third-Class Honours degree. Or be a holder of Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in relevant disciplines recognized by DELSU senate with at least a Lower Credit pass.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking admission into certificate and postgraduate programmes must be a graduate of Delta State University or any other university, or graduates of any other institutions approved by the Senate of Delta State University. In addition, all candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and 3 (three) other subjects, obtained at not more than two sittings. Candidates with O’Level Examination results obtained until 2018 must present original copies of their certificates for screening.

For graduates of the Centre LSD leadership school, will be exempted from the leadership modules/courses already offered in the leadership school curriculum.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Candidates are required to visit the Delta State University admission portal at www.portal.delsuces.online, complete the CENDS, Delta State University, Abraka 2026/2027 Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) admission form online, generate and copy their registration number and reference code, and make a payment of NGN31, 000.00 (thirty-one thousand naira) only to the specified banks. Sale of forms commences on Monday, 20th July, 2026, and closes on Monday, 30th November, 2026.

Note: Applicants are to upload scanned copies of the following documents in PDF format:

1. Transcript of all previous qualifications obtained including WASC; NECO; GCE or NABTEB Certificate

2. NYSC Certificate or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate obtained from NYSC Office (PGD applicants only)

3. Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the home page of the Website www.portal.delsuces.online before completing the application form.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

List of those offered provisional admission into any programme will be published online in www.portal.delsuces.online and in the notice board in the Centre for Niger Delta Studies (CENDS), Delta State University, Campus 2, Old Warri/Agbor Road, Abraka, Delta State, Nigeria.

Screening of provisionally admitted candidates and payment of fees will commence immediately.
