FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY & ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, IYIN-EKITI (FUTES-IYIN) RELEASES APPROVED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES), Iyin-Ekiti, has officially released the approved academic calendar for returning students for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The calendar outlines important academic activities for both the first and second semesters, including resumption dates, registration periods, lectures, revision weeks, examinations, and results processing.

First Semester Academic Calendar

Returning students are expected to resume academic activities on:

Monday, 12th October, 2026

Registration for returning students will take place from:

• Monday, 12th October – Friday, 16th October, 2026

Lectures will officially commence on:

• Monday, 19th October, 2026, while registration continues.

Students who fail to register within the normal registration period will have an opportunity to complete their registration during the late registration window:

• Monday, 26th October – Friday, 30th October, 2026, with the prescribed penalty.

The university will proceed on the end-of-year break beginning:

• Tuesday, 22nd December, 2026

Academic activities will resume after the holiday on:

• Monday, 4th January, 2027

Lectures for the first semester will end on:

• Friday, 29th January, 2027

A one-week revision period has been scheduled from:

• Monday, 1st February – Friday, 5th February, 2027

The First Semester Examinations will commence on:

• Monday, 8th February, 2027

and conclude on:

• Saturday, 19th February, 2027

Following the examinations, marking of scripts and processing of results will run from:

• Monday, 22nd February – Friday, 26th March, 2027

Second Semester Academic Calendar

The second semester will begin with resumption and registration on:

• Monday, 15th March, 2027

Lectures will commence immediately and continue alongside registration from:

• Monday, 15th March – Friday, 26th March, 2027

Late registration with penalty will take place between:

• Monday, 29th March – Friday, 2nd April, 2027

Lectures for the semester will end on:

• Friday, 11th June, 2027

Students will proceed for revision from:

• Monday, 14th June – Friday, 18th June, 2027

The Second Semester Examinations will commence on:

• Monday, 21st June, 2027

and end on:

• Saturday, 3rd July, 2027

Thereafter, marking of examination scripts and processing of results will take place from:

• Monday, 5th July – Friday, 13th August, 2027
