JAMB TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS DIRECT ENTRY REGISTRATION AHEAD OF 2026 UTME MOCK EXAMINATION
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has temporarily paused the ongoing Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise nationwide in preparation for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mock.
Scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, the mock examination has necessitated the suspension of DE registration across all states to streamline logistics and ensure a smooth conduct of the exercise.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspension is temporary and that Direct Entry registration will resume immediately after the successful completion of the mock examination. Candidates and registration centres are advised to share this update widely to prevent any inconvenience, particularly for those planning to submit their DE applications during the brief pause.
While no extension to the registration deadline has been announced, candidates are encouraged to act promptly once the portal reopens.
