UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN (UI) BEGINS UPLOADING OF ADMISSION LIST ON JAMB CAPS FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Ibadan (UI) has commenced the uploading of the 2026/2027 admission list on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates who participated in the university’s admission screening exercise are advised to begin checking their admission status regularly on the JAMB CAPS portal as successful candidates are being uploaded in batches. 

The admission process is ongoing, and candidates who are yet to receive an admission offer are encouraged to remain patient, as more names are expected to be uploaded in subsequent batches.

How to Check Your Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates can check their admission status by following the steps below:

• Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.

• Log in using your registered email address and password.

• Click on “Check Admission Status.”

• Select “Access My CAPS.”

• Click on “Admission Status” to view your admission status.

• If offered admission, click “Accept” or “Reject” the admission offer.

Candidates are advised to check the portal regularly, as admission offers may be uploaded at different times throughout the admission exercise. (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board)

Important Notice to Admitted Candidates

Candidates who have been offered admission should promptly:

• Accept their admission on JAMB CAPS.

• Print their JAMB Admission Letter after accepting the offer.

• Await further registration and clearance instructions from the University of Ibadan through the official admission portal.

Candidates whose status still reads “Not Admitted” or “Admission in Progress” are advised not to panic, as the admission exercise is still ongoing and additional batches may be released.
