IGNATIUS AJURU UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION (IAUE) ANNOUNCES COMBINED CLEARANCE PROCEDURE FOR FRESH STUDENTS OF THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Port Harcourt, has announced that the 2026/2027 admission clearance exercise for all newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates will commence on Monday, 31st August, 2026.
All admitted candidates are required to complete both the online and physical clearance processes in line with the University’s automated clearance system.
According to the University, candidates are expected to report to their respective Faculty Conference Halls by 9:00 a.m. daily for verification and departmental/faculty clearance.
IAUE Clearance Exercise Begins August 31
The clearance exercise will be conducted in a dual mode (online and physical) to ensure a seamless registration process for all admitted candidates.
Candidates are advised to carefully follow all prescribed procedures to avoid delays or forfeiture of their admission.
Accept Your Admission on JAMB CAPS
Before beginning the University clearance process, admitted candidates must:
- Log in to the JAMB CAPS portal.
- Accept their admission offer.
- Print their JAMB Admission Letter (coloured copy only).
- Print their JAMB Result Slip (coloured copy only).
The University stated that both documents will be authenticated during clearance, and only candidates with verified documents will be updated on the JAMB National Matriculation List.
Pay IAUE Acceptance Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦50,000 through the University’s portal.
Payment can be made using:
- Pay-Direct
- MasterCard
- Verve Card
Candidates should log in to the IAUE portal at enterpriseschoolsportal.iaue.edu.ng to complete the payment.
Payment receipts will be verified during clearance.
Update Your Bio-Data
After payment, candidates are expected to:
- Update their personal bio-data.
- Complete all required information on the University portal.
- Ensure every detail supplied is accurate before submission.
Important Deadline
The University has fixed Monday, 7th September, 2026 as the deadline for:
- Accepting admission on JAMB CAPS.
- Payment of the ₦50,000 acceptance fee.
- Completion of the admission clearance process for merit-admitted candidates.
Candidates who fail to complete these requirements before the deadline risk losing their admission, as such admission offers may be withdrawn.
Required Documents for Physical Clearance
Candidates are expected to report to their respective Faculty Conference Halls with the following documents:
- IAUE Acceptance Form
- Departmental Eligibility Form
- University Provisional Admission Letter
- Admission Status Printout
- Acceptance Fee Receipt
- Faculty/Departmental/Campus Communication Dues Receipt
- Original JAMB Result Slip
- Original JAMB Admission Letter
- JAMB Screening Payment Receipt
- National Identification Number (NIN) Slip
- NIN Slip of Sponsor (for candidates aged 16–18 years)
- Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- Local Government Identification Certificate
- Four (4) File Jackets (obtainable from the University Bookshop)
- Four (4) Passport Photographs
- O’Level Results (WAEC/NECO)
- NCE, OND or NABTEB Results (Direct Entry candidates only)
- Identity Card Clearance Form
- Bio-data Printout
- Clearance Fee Receipt
- Unique Students Services (USS) Form
- Original Certificate Verification Form
- Medical Services Form
- Any other documents required by the University.
Summary of the Clearance Process
The University advised candidates to complete all required online payments before proceeding for physical verification.
During clearance:
- JAMB Admission Letters and Result Slips will be verified through QR code authentication.
- Cleared candidates will automatically receive an Admission Office Clearance Approval Notice.
- Candidates who complete Faculty clearance will also receive a Faculty Clearance Approval Notice.
- Both clearance approval notices must be printed and inserted into the student’s file jacket before submission to the Faculty Officer.
Campus Communication Network Registration
The University also directed all newly admitted students to obtain and register a Glo SIM card for the Campus Communication Network (CCN) through designated ICT/Glo registration points on campus.
School Fees Payment
After completing the admission clearance successfully, candidates may proceed to pay their school fees online through the University portal.
The University stated that payment of school fees marks the completion of the registration process for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Special Notice to Some Faculties
Candidates admitted into the:
- Faculty of Vocational and Technical Education, and
- Faculty of Agriculture
are to complete their clearance at the Rumuolumeni Campus (Department of Home Economics, Tourism and Hospitality Building) before proceeding to the Ndele Campus, where they will commence their academic programmes.
Important Notice
Candidates who no longer wish to take up the admission offer are advised to formally reject the admission through their JAMB CAPS profile.
