JAMB Set to Reopen Portal for Uploading of 2025 WAEC Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will soon reopen its portal for candidates to upload their 2025 West African Examination Council (WAEC) results.

This is a crucial step for candidates who sat for the 2025 WAEC examination and have now received their results but could not upload them during the initial UTME or Direct Entry registration period. The uploading of O’level results is a mandatory requirement for all candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions.

According to JAMB, candidates who used “Awaiting Result” (AR) during registration are expected to visit any accredited JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office nationwide to upload their complete results once the portal is open. Failure to do so may affect their chances of securing admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Steps to Upload Your 2025 WAEC Result:

1. Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre or JAMB office.

2. Take along a printed copy of your WAEC result (original or online printout).

3. Provide your JAMB registration number to the officer in charge.

4. The CBT centre will scan and upload your result to the JAMB CAPS system.

5. Ensure you get a printout or confirmation slip showing your result has been uploaded.

Important Notes:

  1. The uploading of results is free at JAMB offices, but some CBT centres may charge a token service fee.
  2. Candidates are advised not to attempt uploading results themselves through cybercafés to avoid errors.
  3. Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education will only consider candidates whose O’level results are fully updated on the JAMB CAPS portal.
  4. All candidates are strongly advised to take advantage of this reopening period and complete their uploads as early as possible to avoid last-minute rush.
