UNIVERSITY ON THE NIGER (UNINIGER) ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH STUDENTS FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the University on the Niger (UNINIGER), Umunya, has announced that all newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic session are to resume for academic activities on Monday, 28th September 2026.

The University urged all fresh students to complete the necessary admission requirements and prepare for resumption as scheduled to ensure a smooth commencement of academic activities.

Important Information for Newly Admitted Students

The management has reminded all newly admitted students to take note of the following requirements before resumption:

1. Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS

All admitted candidates are required to:

• Accept their admission offer on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
• Print their JAMB Admission Letter after accepting the admission.

2. Download the University Prospectus

Fresh students are advised to visit the University’s official website at www.uniniger.edu.ng to download the student prospectus and carefully follow all instructions contained in it.

3. Payment of Tuition Fees

Payment of tuition fees is compulsory for all newly admitted students. Candidates are encouraged to complete their payments promptly to facilitate their registration.

4. Hostel Accommodation

Students who intend to stay in the University hostels must:

• Pay the prescribed accommodation fee.
• Select their preferred hostel space online before resumption.

The University noted that students who fail to complete the hostel allocation process may not be granted access to the hostel facilities.

5. University T-Shirt

The management also announced that the official University T-shirt is to be worn by students every Thursday.
