The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a slight adjustment to the scheduled timing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), specifically affecting candidates in the first session.

According to an official update released by the board, candidates scheduled for the first session are now expected to arrive at their examination centres by 7:00AM, instead of the earlier communicated 6:30AM.

This change is aimed at ensuring a smoother and more efficient examination process across all centres nationwide.

Updated First Session Schedule

  • Arrival Time: 7:00AM (Previously 6:30AM)
  • Exam Start Time: 8:30AM
  • Exam End Time: 10:30AM

No Need to Reprint Exam Slips

JAMB has clearly stated that candidates do not need to reprint their examination slips, as the adjustment only affects the arrival time and does not alter any other details already provided.

Candidates are therefore advised to stick with their existing slips and simply take note of the updated arrival time.
