ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ESUT) ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATE FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has announced Monday, October 12, 2026, as the official resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement was contained in a circular issued by the university and signed by the Registrar, Sir Ambrose Ugwu.

According to the management, the 2025/2026 academic session has officially ended following the conclusion of the second-semester examinations, and students are currently on vacation.

Fresh And Returning Students To Resume October 12

The university stated that both fresh and returning students are expected to resume for academic activities on Monday, October 12, 2026.

The resumption will mark the beginning of academic activities for the new 2026/2027 session.

The university community has therefore been advised to take note of the approved date and make the necessary preparations ahead of the new academic session.

Lecturers Given One-Month Deadline To Submit Results

The management also directed lecturers to submit their second-semester examination results within one month.

According to the university, the timely submission of results is necessary to enable the appropriate committees to consider and process the results without delay.

The management explained that early processing of results will also facilitate other academic activities, including the change of course process and consideration of candidates in their respective programmes of study.

University Staff And College Of Medicine Exempted From Vacation

While announcing the commencement of the general vacation, the university clarified that the holiday does not apply to university staff and the ESUT College of Medicine.

Activities in these areas are therefore expected to continue in accordance with their respective schedules.

The university’s 2025/2026 second semester officially ended on August 10, 2026, following the conclusion of the scheduled examinations.

Students are advised to take note of the October 12, 2026 resumption date and prepare accordingly for the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session.
