The management of Oke-Ogun Polytechnic wishes to inform all prospective applicants who have successfully completed their National Diploma (ND) from recognized institutions that applications are now open for the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly, as admission is competitive and based on the availability of slots in each department.

Applicants are required to possess a minimum ND qualification in a relevant discipline from accredited institutions to be eligible for the HND programmes. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate academic competence and meet any other departmental requirements specified by the school.

The HND programmes are organized under the following schools and departments:

A. School of Financial Management Studies

  1. Accountancy – Focused on advanced accounting principles, auditing, taxation, and financial management.

  2. Banking and Finance – Covering corporate finance, investment strategies, banking operations, and financial analysis.

  3. Insurance – Preparing students for careers in underwriting, risk management, and insurance administration.

B. School of Engineering

  1. Agricultural Engineering (Farm Power and Machinery Option) – Emphasis on mechanization, farm equipment design, and maintenance.

  2. Agricultural Engineering (Soil and Water Option) – Focus on irrigation systems, soil conservation, and water resource management.

  3. Agricultural Engineering (Post-Harvesting Option) – Covering crop processing, storage, and post-harvest technology.

  4. Civil Engineering – Advanced studies in construction, structural analysis, and urban infrastructure.

  5. Mechanical Engineering – Includes thermodynamics, machine design, and manufacturing systems.

C. School of Agriculture

  1. Agricultural Extension and Management – Focus on agricultural education, extension services, and farm management.

  2. Animal Production Technology – Covers livestock management, breeding, and nutrition.

  3. Soil Science and Land Resources Management – Emphasizing soil fertility, land evaluation, and sustainable land use.

  4. Technology Crop Production – Advanced crop production techniques and agronomic practices.

D. School of Science

  1. Computer Science (Web Design and Software Development) – Advanced programming, web technologies, and software engineering.

  2. Food Science and Technology – Focus on food processing, preservation, quality control, and nutrition.

  3. Science Laboratory Technology (Applied Chemistry Option) – Analytical techniques, laboratory management, and research applications.

  4. Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry Option) – Advanced biochemistry, molecular biology, and lab techniques.

  5. Science Laboratory Technology (Physics with Electronics Option) – Physics principles, electronics, and instrumentation.

  6. Science Laboratory Technology (Environmental Biology Option) – Environmental studies, ecology, and lab practices.

  7. Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology Option) – Microbial research, disease prevention, and lab management.

  8. Statistics – Data analysis, probability, and applied statistical methods.

E. School of Environmental Studies

  1. Building Technology – Principles of construction, building materials, and project management.

  2. Architectural Technology – Design, drafting, and sustainable architectural practices.

  3. Estate Management and Valuation – Property management, valuation techniques, and real estate investment.

  4. Quantity Surveying – Cost management, project planning, and construction economics.

  5. Urban and Regional Planning – Planning policies, land use, and urban development.

  6. Transport Planning and Management – Logistics, traffic management, and transportation systems.

  7. Survey and Geo-Informatics Marketing – Surveying, GIS applications, and marketing strategies for geospatial data.
