The Management of FAMSAS College of Health Science and Technology, Keffi, has officially released the admission guidelines for its National Diploma (ND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. In a move to align with national educational standards and ensure transparency, the Office of the Registrar has announced that all admissions into ND programmes will now be conducted strictly through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). This directive emphasizes the institution’s commitment to the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), ensuring that every admitted student is duly recognized by the regulatory bodies.

List of Available National Diploma (ND) Programmes

Prospective students looking to build a career in the health and technology sectors can apply for a variety of specialized programmes. The following ND courses are available for the 2026/2027 session:

  • Medical Laboratory Technology

  • Pharmacy Technician

  • Community Health

  • Public Health

  • Epidemiology and Disease Control Technology

  • Computer Science

  • Environmental Health

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Requirement

To be eligible for admission, all prospective candidates are mandatory required to participate in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). During the JAMB registration process, applicants must specifically select FAMSAS College of Health Science and Technology, Keffi, as their institution of choice.

Candidates are also reminded of the following critical steps:

  • Subject Combination: Ensure you select the correct UTME subject combination relevant to your chosen health or technology course (typically including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for health-related programmes).

  • O’Level Credits: Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).

  • JAMB CAPS Monitoring: Applicants must regularly check their JAMB CAPS portal to “Accept” or “Reject” admission offers once they have been processed by the institution.

Institutional Standards and Selection Process

The College emphasizes that the selection process will be highly competitive. Only applicants who achieve the acceptable UTME cut-off mark and meet the specific departmental requirements will be considered. The integration with JAMB CAPS ensures that the admission process remains merit-based and free from unauthorized interference.

FAMSAS College of Health Science and Technology remains a premier institution in Nasarawa State, dedicated to producing skilled health professionals capable of addressing modern medical challenges. By adhering to the JAMB-centralized process, the college ensures that its graduates are eligible for national mobilization and professional licensing upon completion of their studies.

Next Steps for Prospective Candidates

Candidates who did not originally choose FAMSAS during the JAMB registration but wish to apply are advised to visit any JAMB CBT Centre to effect a “Change of Institution” once the portal opens for such corrections. This is essential for your data to be visible to the College on the CAPS platform.
