KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC (KSP) RELEASES TOP-UP DEGREE/HND CONVERSION PROGRAMME ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja in affiliation with Federal University Lokoja Top-Up Degree and HND Conversion Programme provides a platform where opportunities are made available for applicants to acquire quality university education. It addresses the dichotomy between BSc and HND certificate holders. It enables university graduates who are unable to stand out academically during their first degree to remedy their results. Also, it allows HND holders to upgrade their certificates to University Degrees.

Objectives of the Programme  

The objectives of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja in affiliation with Federal University Lokoja Top-Up Degree and HND Conversion Programme are to:

– Provide suitable academic programmes that would facilitate conversion from HND to University Degree Certification

– Make available contents and instructions that would upgrade the quality of University Degrees from Third Class

– Facilitate University education that would lead to change of Degree or Career where necessary

– Create an academic-level ground for University Degrees acquisition

Who is the Programme for?

– University graduates with Third Class Degree

– HND graduates desirous of University First Degree

– Graduates with interest in Career change

Admission Requirement  

Candidates must satisfy the following admission requirements:

– Applicants must possess a minimum of five O’level subjects including Mathematics and English Language at credit level in not more than two sittings in their relevant programmes

– Minimum of Third Class Degree or HND (Lower Credit minimum) from a recognised institution is required for Conversion

– Applicants must possess Certificate of Discharge or Exemption from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme

Duration of Programme  

– Two years or four semesters for full-time

– Two years or six semesters for part-time

Lecture or Contact Period

– Lectures shall take place from Monday to Friday (Full time)

– Qualified candidates willing to apply for Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja in affiliation with Federal University Lokoja Top-Up Degree and HND Conversion Programme are to pay a non-refundable fee of N20,000 only for the application form

– Sales and submission of application forms will commence from Wednesday, 27th August to 24th September 2025 (Four weeks)
