LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION (LASUED) COMMENCES SALE OF ADMISSION FORMS FOR POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA AND PDE-TO-PGDE CONVERSION PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Oto/Ijanikin (with a satellite campus at Odo-Noforija, Epe), Lagos State, has officially invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its various Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes and the 6-month Conversion Programme from Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) to Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to an official advertisement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Opeoluwa Akinlabi Akinfemiwa, the university offers specialized professional advanced programmes designed to enhance academic qualification and pedagogical competence across diverse disciplines.

Available Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

Candidates can apply for admission into any of the following available programmes:

* Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), with specialisations in Arts, Social Sciences, Languages, Sciences, Technology, Technical, Vocational, Early Childhood, among others.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Health Information Management.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Transport and Logistics Management.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and Analytics.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Networking and Cybersecurity.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Virtual Communication and Media Technology.

* Conversion Programme from Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) to Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).

Admission Requirements

a. Standard Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes

Candidates seeking admission into the PGD programmes must satisfy the following academic criteria:

* Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes (SSCE, WASSC, GCE, or NECO) including English Language, with at least a pass in Mathematics.

* Hold a good Honours Degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in related academic fields from a recognized tertiary institution.

b. PDE to PGDE Conversion Programme (6 Months)

Candidates applying for the 6-month PDE-to-PGDE conversion programme must meet the following prerequisites:

* Possess a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) certificate with a minimum of a credit pass.

* Hold a First Degree (Hons) from a recognized university or a Higher National Diploma (HND).

* Possess five (5) O’Level credit passes in English Language and any four (4) other subjects, with at least a pass in Mathematics.

Method of Application

* Credentials & Login Setup: Your active e-mail address on the application platform will serve as your Username, while your Surname will serve as your default Password.

* Application Fee Payment: Make a non-refundable application fee payment of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (₦25,000.00) only into the designated LASUED institutional account.

* Online Form Completion: Visit the official university postgraduate admission portal at www.lasued.edu.ng to complete the application form and submit it at the final stage.

* Print Registration Slip: After successful submission, candidates must print a hard copy of the e-registration slip for administrative reference and verification purposes.

Important Administrative Notes and Enquiries

* Submission of Academic Transcripts: Official academic transcripts for first-degree/diploma programmes of all applicants must be received by the university no later than two (2) weeks after the official close of form sales.

* Selection Interview: All shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in a compulsory admission screening interview.
