The Directorate of Academic Affairs and Student Records, under the Office of the Registrar at Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences (AKSCONS), has issued a high-importance directive mandating all bonafide registered students to complete a critical institutional database update.

According to an official circular, the college registry dispatched an encrypted access link to the designated institutional email addresses of all currently enrolled students. Students are required to access their inboxes immediately to complete and submit the official Student Information Form online.

Statutory Clarification and Scope of Eligibility

The university management explicitly clarified the scope of candidates covered by this exercise to prevent misinterpretation:

* Eligible Students: This mandatory update applies EXCLUSIVELY to bonafide, fully matriculated, and formally registered students currently undergoing clinical and academic training across all departments of the college.

* Excluded Candidates: This communication does NOT apply to prospective applicants, candidates awaiting admission, or examinees who recently sat for the entrance examinations or Post-UTME screening. Individuals without an active, recognized student admission file and official student record with the college are strictly excluded from this exercise.

Purpose and Significance of Data Accuracy

The management emphasized that data collected through this portal update will construct the master repository for all institutional records. Every student must exercise extreme diligence and precision when completing each field, as the captured data will serve as the permanent reference point for all statutory college operations.

These operations include:

* Semester examination clearances.

* Official verification of clinical rotations.

* Generation of official academic results.

* Issuance of certified academic transcripts.

* Nursing council certification processes.

Students are cautioned that erroneous or inaccurate submissions will compromise their official student files and lead to severe administrative delays during graduation and council licensing.

Mandatory Instructions and Portal Operating Protocols

* Link Access & Email Verification: Access to the database portal is restricted exclusively to the personalized link sent to each student’s official email. Students must check both their primary Inbox and Spam/Junk folders to retrieve the dispatch.

* Single Submission Rule: Duplicate submissions are strictly prohibited. Students who have previously filled and submitted the form through an authorized college channel must not resubmit, as multiple entries will trigger validation errors within the central database.

* Escalation Protocol for Non-Receipt: Students who inspect both their Inbox and Spam folders without locating the electronic dispatch must immediately send an email request to [email protected]. The email must contain the student’s Full Official Name, Matriculation/Student Registration Number, Campus, and Department to receive prompt verification and technical assistance.

Revised Submission Deadline

The Registry has officially revised and extended the submission deadline for the database update exercise. The new deadline is fixed for 6:00 PM on Wednesday, 14th October 2026.

The electronic portal will automatically seal at exactly 6:00 PM, after which no further extensions or manual submissions will be entertained under any circumstances. All registered students are expected to treat the exercise with utmost priority and urgency.

Thank you!
