FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES, IRAGBIJI (FUADSI) RELEASES APPROVED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Senate of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji, Osun State, has officially released the approved academic calendar for undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to the official document signed by the Registrar, Afolabi T. M., the 2026/2027 academic session is scheduled to span nine months, officially commencing on Monday, 2nd November 2026, and concluding on Thursday, 29th July 2027.

First Semester Schedule of Key Events

* Commencement of 2026/2027 Academic Session: Monday, 2nd November 2026.

* Resumption and Registration for Fresh Students (6 Weeks): Monday, 2nd November – Tuesday, 15th December 2026.

* Orientation Programme for Fresh Students: Monday, 2nd November – Friday, 6th November 2026.

* Commencement of Registration for Returning Students (6 Weeks): Monday, 9th November – Tuesday, 15th December 2026.

* Commencement of First Semester Lectures for All Students (12 Weeks of Lectures): Monday, 9th November 2026 – Friday, 29th January 2027.

* Matriculation Ceremony for Fresh Students: Wednesday, 16th December 2026.

* Late Registration with Penalty (2 Weeks): Thursday, 17th December – Thursday, 31st December 2026.

* Festive Break: Thursday, 24th December 2026 – Sunday, 3rd January 2027.

* Continuous Assessment Test (CAT – 1 Week): Monday, 4th January – Friday, 8th January 2027.

* End of First Semester Lectures: Friday, 29th January 2027.

* Lecture-Free Week and Uploading of CAT Results (1 Week): Monday, 1st February – Friday, 5th February 2027.

* First Semester Examinations (3 Weeks): Monday, 8th February – Friday, 26th February 2027.

* First Semester / Mid-Session Break (2 Weeks): Monday, 1st March – Friday, 12th March 2027.

* Processing and Uploading of First Semester Results (2 Weeks): Monday, 1st March – Friday, 12th March 2027.

* Special Senate Meeting to Consider First Semester Results: Thursday, 25th March 2027.

* Commencement of Second Semester & Resumption of Lectures (12 Weeks): Monday, 15th March – Friday, 4th June 2027.

* Continuous Assessment Test (CAT – 1 Week): Monday, 5th April – Friday, 9th April 2027.

* End of Second Semester Lectures: Friday, 4th June 2027.

* Students’ Week / Lecture-Free Week & Uploading of CAT Results: Monday, 7th June – Friday, 11th June 2027.

* Orientation for Students Embarking on SIWES Programme (1 Week): Wednesday, 9th June 2027.

* Second Semester Examinations (3 Weeks): Monday, 14th June – Friday, 2nd July 2027.

* Processing and Uploading of Second Semester Results (3 Weeks): Monday, 5th July – Friday, 23rd July 2027.

* Special Senate Meeting to Consider Second Semester Results: Thursday, 29th July 2027.

* Official End of 2026/2027 Academic Session: Thursday, 29th July 2027.

Post-Session Activities and Staff Leave

* Commencement of SIWES Programme (12 Weeks): Monday, 2nd August 2027.

* Academic Staff Annual Leave (30 Working Days): Friday, 30th July – Thursday, 9th September 2027.

Note: Institutional guidelines specify that Deans, Directors, Heads of Department (HODs), and Coordinators are expected to defer their annual leave and remain at their official duty posts to oversee administrative continuity.
