Applicants are encouraged to complete their registration promptly and avoid waiting until the last minute before commencing the application process.

Candidates should also carefully review their information before submitting the application to minimise errors that could affect their screening or admission process.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE NEW FUTMINNA PROGRAMMES?

According to the university’s notice, the Pre-Admission Screening Exercise is open to qualified candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME and meet the relevant admission requirements.

Candidates must also satisfy the O’Level and UTME subject requirements for their chosen programme.

Applicants are advised to carefully read the requirements for their preferred course before commencing registration.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT THE ADMISSION SESSION

Candidates should take note of an important discrepancy contained in the university’s announcement.

The notice is headed “2026/2027 Registration/Pre-Admission Screening Exercise into Newly Approved Programmes,” while the body of the announcement refers to candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME and also mentions the 2025/2026 academic session.

Because of this difference, candidates should not assume the applicable admission session without confirmation.

Applicants are strongly advised to check the official FUTMINNA Pre-Admission Screening Portal and any subsequent official communication from the university to confirm the correct session, eligibility requirements and applicable screening details before completing their registration.

WHY CANDIDATES SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEW PROGRAMMES

The approval of these programmes gives prospective students additional academic options at the Federal University of Technology, Minna.

Financial Technology combines technology with financial applications, while Agricultural Science Education and Computer Science Education provide opportunities for candidates interested in education and specialised science or technology-related fields.

However, candidates should choose their preferred programme based on their qualifications, UTME subjects and academic interests.

FINAL WORD

The Federal University of Technology, Minna has commenced registration for its Pre-Admission Screening Exercise into three newly approved programmes: Financial Technology (FinTech), Agricultural Science Education and Computer Science Education.

Qualified candidates who meet the specified O’Level and UTME requirements are advised to visit the FUTMINNA screening portal and complete their registration.

However, applicants should pay particular attention to the difference between the 2026/2027 heading of the notice and the references to 2025 UTME and 2025/2026 within the body of the announcement.

Candidates are therefore encouraged to confirm the applicable admission session and other screening details through the official FUTMINNA portal before proceeding.
