BAYELSA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY (BMU) ALERTS PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS OF ADMISSION SCAMMERS 

The Management of Bayelsa Medical University (BMU), located along Imgbi Road, Amarata, Yenagoa, has issued an urgent public notice warning 2026/2027 applicants, prospective students, parents, and guardians to beware of admission fraudsters and scammers.

The university administration emphasized that no payment of any kind should be made into any personal bank account or any account that does not explicitly bear the official account name BAYELSA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. All official payments to the institution must strictly be made into designated accounts bearing the university’s corporate title.

Prospective candidates and guardians are strongly advised to remain vigilant against fraudsters impersonating university officials or claiming to assist in facilitating admission, course registration, accommodation, or other university-related services in exchange for funds sent to unauthorized accounts.

The management clearly stated that the university will not be held responsible for any financial losses or transactions made into individual accounts or accounts not bearing the name BAYELSA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY.
