FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, GASHU RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The School of Postgraduate Studies at the Federal University Gashua (FU Gashua), Yobe State, officially invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its diverse range of postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

As a center of academic excellence, FU Gashua offers advanced research and professional training designed to equip scholars with the tools necessary for global impact and specialized expertise.

I. AVAILABLE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

The university offers Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD), Masters (M.Sc./M.A./Professional), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees across the following faculties:

Faculty of Arts

• Department of Islamic Studies: M.A. and Ph.D. in Islamic Studies.

Faculty of Management and Social Sciences

• Department of Accountancy: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Accounting; M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Taxation; PGD in Accounting.

• Department of Economics and Development Studies: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Economics; PGD in Economics.

• Department of Geography: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Geography; PGD in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

• Department of Public Administration: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Public Administration; Master of Public Administration (MPA); PGD in Public Administration.

Faculty of Science

• Department of Chemistry: M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Analytical Chemistry); M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Polymer Chemistry); PGD in Chemistry.

• Department of Mathematics: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics; PGD in Mathematics.

II. APPLICATION FEES

All application fees are non-refundable and must be paid through the official university portal:

• Ph.D. Programmes: ₦25,000

• M.Sc. / M.A. / Professional Masters: ₦20,000

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): ₦10,000

III. STEP-BY-STEP APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Candidates are advised to follow these steps carefully to ensure a valid submission:

1. Access the Portal: Visit https://applicant.safapply.com/fuga.

2. Select Course: Browse the list of available programmes (use the filter box for quick navigation).

3. Review Requirements: Click “More Information” to view specific departmental requirements, then click “Apply.”

4. Authentication: Log in or register using a valid Google account.

5. Payment Invoice: Generate a payment invoice for the application fee. Once payment is confirmed via the instructions on the page, access to the application form will be granted.

6. Form Completion: Fill in all required fields accurately. You may use the “Update Form” button to correct entries before the final submission.

7. Academic Transcripts: Candidates must request their previous institutions to send official academic transcripts directly to: [email protected] before the closing date.

IV. ELIGIBILITY AND MANDATORY POLICIES

To maintain the integrity of the admission process, the following rules apply:

• NYSC Requirement: Candidates who have not completed their NYSC programme (or obtained an exemption/exclusion letter) are not eligible to apply.

• Result Policy: Candidates awaiting results are ineligible. Furthermore, Statements of Result should not be uploaded; only original certificates are recognized for final clearance.

• Error Liability: The University will not be held liable for mistakes or disqualifications arising from erroneous applications or false information.
