The Management of the Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology (RSCHST), Port Harcourt, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its diverse range of Diploma and Certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES AND ENTRY SPECIFICATIONS

Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the specific requirements for their chosen school before commencing the application process.

1. School of Environmental Health Technology

• Programme: Health Promotion and Education (Diploma) – 2 Years

• Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in GCE/SSCE/NECO/WASC or Teachers Grade II. Must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, and any other two science subjects (Chemistry, Nutrition, Physics, General Sciences, or Integrated Science).

2. School of Pharmaceutical Technology

• Programme: Pharmacy Technician (Certificate) – 3 Years

• Requirements: Five (5) O-level credit passes in WASC/GCE/NECO/SSCE including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at not more than two sittings.

3. School of Social Work

• Programme: Diploma in Social Work – 2 Years

• Requirements: Five (5) O-level credit passes in WASC/GCE/SSCE or NECO including English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects from Civic Education, Biology, Economics, Literature, Geography, CRK/Arts, Commerce, or Government/History at not more than two sittings.

4. School of Dental Health Science

• Programme: Anesthetic Technician (Diploma) – 3 Years

• Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in WASC/NECO/SSCE or GCE including Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English Language at not more than two sittings.

5. School of Health Information Management

• Programme A: Health Information Management Technician (HIMT) – 3 Years

  • Requirements: Minimum of four (4) credits and one pass in relevant subjects including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.

• Programme B: Hospital/Health Administration (Diploma) – 2 Years

  • Requirements: Five (5) O-level credit passes in Mathematics, English, Economics/Commerce, Government, and Biology/Health Science at not more than two sittings.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND ELIGIBILITY

• Age Requirement: Applicants must be 16 years of age or older by September 2026.

• Digital Registration: Applications are strictly online via the official portal: https://portal.rschst.edu.ng.

• Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of N15,300 only (inclusive of PIN charges) is payable through the portal.

• Identification Slip: Upon successful payment and submission, candidates must generate and print their Identification Slip, which contains the official examination number.

SELECTION PROCESS: ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Admission into RSCHST is competitive and merit-based.

1. Shortlisting: Only candidates who meet the basic O-level requirements will be shortlisted.

2. Examination: Shortlisted applicants will undergo a mandatory entrance examination.
