NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY, KANO GETS NUC APPROVAL FOR NEW PROGRAMMES

The Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, is pleased to announce that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially approved the establishment of several new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This approval follows a successful and rigorous resource assessment and verification exercise conducted by the commission.

The authorization was conveyed in an official communication dated 26th February, 2026, confirming that these full-time programmes will commence at the Main Campus effective from the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The expansion covers diverse fields in the physical sciences, communication, and advanced educational theory:
