NABTEB 2019 Results Out, 72.91% Pass Maths, English

603 results cancelled over exam malpractices………………

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board on Wednesday released the results of the November-December 2019 examinations

Thirty-two thousand three hundred and forty-nine, 32,349 candidates representing 72.91% who sat for National Business Certificate/ National Technical Certificate examinations obtained scores with five credit and above including Mathematics and English language.

A total of 40,605 candidates representing 91.52% scored five credits and above with or without English language and Mathematics

Registrar/ Chief Executive of the Board, Professor Ifeoma Isiugo Abanihe said the candidates’ performance was basically same with the 2018 results where 29,274 candidates representing 72.79% obtained five credit and above including English language and Mathematics

She said a total of 50,040 candidates consisting of 30,047 males, 19,993 females registered for the examination with 1,775 centres while 5,139 enrolled for Master crafts, 8,762 Ordinary crafts, 36,139, Ordinary Level General Certificate in Education

She posited that via quality assurance mechanisms the board recorded a slight reduction in examination malpractices with 603 candidates which represents 1.22% caught in the act when compared to the 625 figures in 2018

‘’ The board will continue to make efforts through more aggressive training of examination personnel and use of technology to further checkmate examination fraud.’’

Abanihe who stressed the role of Technical, Vocational Education Training in preparing the youths and adult alike for the labour market, called for the establishment of more federal science and technical colleges while ensuring existing ones are adequately equipped
