KANO POLYTECHNIC RELEASES FIRST BATCH HND ADMISSION LIST FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of Kano State Polytechnic (KANOPOLY) has formally announced the release of the first batch of the Higher National Diploma (HND) admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session. This announcement follows a rigorous screening exercise of National Diploma (ND) results, industrial training (IT) completion certificates, and departmental entrance assessments.

The release marks the first phase of the institution’s enrollment cycle, transitioning qualified candidates from technical training into advanced professional specialization across its various schools and departments.

Accessing the Admission Status

To maintain transparency and ease of access, the Polytechnic has deployed the admission list via its centralized digital infrastructure. Candidates are not required to visit the physical campus for status verification.

Steps to Check Admission Status:

  1. Visit the Portal: Navigate to the official Kano State Polytechnic admission portal.

  2. Authentication: Enter your application number or the credentials used during the initial HND application phase.

  3. Status Confirmation: Click on “Check Admission Status” to see if your name has been shortlisted for the first batch.

  4. Notification Slip: Successful candidates are advised to print their provisional admission notification for administrative reference.

The Post-Admission Workflow: Acceptance and Registration

Securing a spot on the first batch list is a provisional milestone. To confirm their place, candidates must strictly follow the institutional timeline for acceptance and registration.

1. Payment of Acceptance Fee

Candidates must pay the non-refundable acceptance fee through the designated bank channels or the online payment gateway. This payment acts as a formal “intent to enroll.” Failure to complete this within the stipulated timeframe will result in the automatic forfeiture of the admission slot to candidates in subsequent batches.

2. Physical Clearance and Document Verification

Once the acceptance fee is processed, candidates must report to their respective schools (e.g., School of Technology, School of Management Studies) for physical screening. You will be required to present original copies of:

  • ND Statement of Result (reflecting a minimum of Lower Credit).

  • Industrial Training (IT) Completion Letter (evidence of one year of relevant experience).

  • O’Level Results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) with five credits including English and Mathematics.

  • JAMB Admission Letter (for the ND program).

Advisory for Pending Applicants

The Polytechnic management has addressed candidates who did not find their names in this initial release. The “First Batch” represents only a portion of the total intake capacity.

  • Subsequent Batches: Additional lists (Second and Third batches) are currently being processed by the Academic Office and will be released in due course as more candidates meet the clearance criteria.

  • Patience and Monitoring: Applicants are urged to remain patient and check the portal periodically. Often, delays occur due to pending ND transcript reconciliations or incomplete IT verification.

Strategic Instructions for New Students

Kano State Polytechnic emphasizes a “Zero Tolerance” policy for document falsification. All submitted data will be double-checked against the national database.

  • Account Creation: Upon successful clearance, students will be assigned a permanent matriculation number which will serve as their login ID for the student portal throughout their HND residency.

  • Late Registration: The management warned that late registration will attract a surcharge. Students are encouraged to finalize their course enrollment and medical examinations as soon as the portal opens for registration.

As a leading center for technical and vocational excellence in Northern Nigeria, Kano State Polytechnic remains committed to producing high-level manpower. This 2025/2026 cohort represents the next generation of technologists and administrators tasked with driving the state’s industrial growth.
