KADUNA POLYTECHNIC ANNOUNCES COMBINED CONVOCATION AND 70TH ANNIVERSARY CEREMONIES

The Rector of Kaduna Polytechnic, Dr. Suleiman Umar, on behalf of the Governing Council and Management, is pleased to announce the schedule for the institution’s Combined Convocation and 70th Anniversary Ceremony. This historic event will honor graduates from the 2016/2017 through 2024/2025 academic sessions.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The week-long celebration includes spiritual, academic, and social activities leading up to the grand finale:

• Friday, May 8th, 2026: Special Juma’ah Prayers at the KPT Central Mosque, Main Campus (1:00 PM).

• Sunday, May 10th, 2026: Interdenominational Service at the KPT Chapel, Main Campus (10:00 AM).

• Monday, May 11th, 2026: Press Conference at the Council Chambers, Central Admin Block (11:00 AM).

• Friday, May 15th, 2026:

  • Pre-Convocation Lecture: Delivered by Hadiza Bala Usman (Special Adviser to the President) at the Civil Engineering Lecture Theatre (2:30 PM).

  • Convocation Dinner: Multipurpose Hall, Dept. of Hospitality CST (5:00 PM – By Invitation).

• Saturday, May 16th, 2026 (Grand Finale): Award of Diplomas, Fellowships, and Prizes at the Convocation Square, Main Campus, Tudun Wada (9:00 AM).

NOTICE TO GRADUANDS: ACADEMIC GOWNS

All graduands must comply with the following protocols for the collection and return of academic attire:

• Financial Requirement: A total payment of ₦20,000 is required (₦10,000 for rental and ₦10,000 as a refundable deposit). Payments must be made at Kadpoly Micro Finance Bank, Central Administration, Main Campus.

• Collection: Gowns will be available starting Monday, May 11th, 2026, at the Department of Polymer and Textile Technology, College of Science and Technology (CST), Main Campus.

• Return Policy: Gowns must be returned on or before Tuesday, May 19th, 2026. Please note that late returns will incur a penalty of ₦1,000 per day.

GENERAL ADVISORY
