The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has resolved the technical challenges that temporarily affected access to its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The development means candidates, tertiary institutions and other users can now access the CAPS platform and continue with their admission-related activities.
JAMB had earlier announced that CAPS was temporarily unavailable due to technical challenges associated with its hosting arrangements. The disruption affected candidates who were attempting to check their admission status and access other services on the platform.
JAMB CAPS NOW ACCESSIBLE
Following efforts to resolve the technical issue, the JAMB CAPS platform is now accessible to users.
Candidates who were previously unable to log into their CAPS profiles can now return to the platform to check their admission status and monitor updates concerning their admission process.
Applicants participating in the 2026/2027 admission exercise are advised to log into their profiles and confirm their current admission status.
CANDIDATES ADVISED TO CHECK CAPS
Candidates awaiting admission are encouraged to regularly monitor their JAMB CAPS profiles, as institutions continue to process and upload admission offers.
Candidates who receive admission offers should carefully review the details displayed on their CAPS profile and follow the appropriate instructions provided by JAMB and their respective institutions.
Those whose admission status has not yet changed are advised to remain patient, as admission processing is carried out in stages and institutions may release or upload names at different times.
PREVIOUS TECHNICAL GLITCH RESOLVED
The temporary disruption had prevented some users from accessing the CAPS platform.
JAMB had explained that the issue was connected to its hosting arrangements and that the Board was engaging with the hosting organisation to restore the system.
With the technical challenge now resolved, candidates can resume activities that require access to the CAPS platform.
Applicants are advised not to panic over the earlier inability to access their profiles and should instead check the platform again now that access has been restored.
