ABIA STATE COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES (ABSCONS) ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL RESUMPTION DATES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION 

The Management of Abia State College of Nursing Sciences (ABSCONS) has formally announced the official resumption schedule for the 2026/2027 academic session covering its Amachara and Aba campuses.

In an official public notification (Ref: ABSCONS/AD/002/5) issued on 13th October, 2026, and signed by the Registrar, Ogundeko Ugochinyere O., on behalf of the Provost, the college directed all verified and admitted candidates across both campuses to prepare for immediate academic activities.

Approved Schedule of Resumption and Academic Activities

The college management has outlined a structured breakdown of administrative and academic events to ensure a seamless transition for newly admitted students:

* Monday, 26th October, 2026: Official Resumption, Payment of Statutory Fees, and Allocation of Hostel Spaces.

* Tuesday, 27th October, 2026: Orientation Programme for Fresh Students at Both Amachara and Aba Campuses.

* Wednesday, 28th October, 2026: Formal Commencement of Academic Lectures.

Management Directives to Admitted Candidates

All newly admitted candidates who have successfully undergone document verification are explicitly instructed to adhere strictly to the established timetable. Students must report promptly to their designated campuses, Amachara or Aba on Monday, 26th October, 2026, to complete their fee payments and hostel room allocations.

Attendance and full participation in the orientation exercise on Tuesday, 27th October, 2026, are mandatory for all fresh students to acquaint themselves with the clinical and academic regulations of the institution before lectures officially begin on Wednesday, 28th October, 2026.
