ISA MUSTAPHA AGWAI I POLYTECHNIC RELEASES SUMMER PROGRAMME FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, Nasarawa State, has announced the commencement of its maiden Summer Programme (Third Semester) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programme was approved by the Academic Board at its 16th Regular Meeting and is designed to provide eligible students with an opportunity to remedy failed courses within the same academic cycle, clear carry-over backlogs and maintain steady academic progress towards graduation.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SUMMER PROGRAMME

The Summer Programme is open to students who have outstanding failed courses from the First and/or Second Semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic session.

However, the Polytechnic stated that the programme is strictly for failed courses.

Students are not permitted to use the Summer Programme to retake courses they have already passed.

The programme will be coordinated by IMAP Consult Limited in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Academic Board.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME

The Summer Programme will run for a total of six weeks.

The six-week programme will consist of:

• Four weeks of lectures, revision and academic engagement.
• Two weeks dedicated to examinations.

Students are expected to participate fully in the academic activities throughout the programme.

SUMMER PROGRAMME FEES

Students participating in the programme are required to make all payments through approved Polytechnic channels.

The applicable fees are:

• 50% of the applicable 2025/2026 academic session school fees.
• ₦5,000 per failed course/paper registered for the Summer Programme.

Students are advised to use only verified Polytechnic payment channels and avoid making payments through unauthorised individuals or third parties.

KEY DATES FOR THE 2025/2026 SUMMER PROGRAMME

REGISTRATION AND COURSE FINALIZATION

Monday, October 19 – Friday, October 23, 2026

Eligible students are expected to complete their registration and finalise the courses they intend to take during the programme.

LECTURES, REVISION AND ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT

Monday, October 26 – Friday, November 13, 2026

Lectures, revision sessions and other academic engagements will take place during this period.

EXAMINATIONS

Monday, November 16 – Friday, November 27, 2026

The Summer Programme examinations will be conducted during this period.

MARKING, COLLATION AND RESULTS PROCESSING

Monday, November 30 – Friday, December 4, 2026

This period has been scheduled for marking, collation and processing of examination results.

RELEASE OF SUMMER PROGRAMME RESULTS

Friday, December 11, 2026

The official results of the Summer Programme are scheduled to be released on this date.

EXAMINATION AND GRADING

Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic stated that examinations conducted under the Summer Programme will follow the institution’s approved academic regulations.

Grades obtained during the programme will replace the previously failed grades in the students’ official academic records.

Students are therefore expected to take the examinations seriously and comply with all academic requirements.

Students intending to participate in the programme are advised to:

• Confirm all outstanding failed courses before registration.
• Register only for courses they are eligible to take.
• Make all payments through verified Polytechnic channels.

The maiden Summer Programme is intended to provide eligible students with an opportunity to address outstanding failed courses within the current academic cycle while supporting their continued progress towards graduation.
