ISA MUSTAPHA AGWAI I POLYTECHNIC (IMAP) RELEASES IJMB ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, has announced the commencement of the sale of application forms for admission into its Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the polytechnic, interested and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the one-year IJMB programme, which provides an alternative route for admission into Nigerian universities through Direct Entry.
The institution described the programme as an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking university admission without relying solely on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
About the IJMB Programme
The IJMB programme runs for one academic session and is designed to prepare students academically for university education.
Upon successful completion of the programme and obtaining the required IJMB points, candidates become eligible for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level in participating universities without writing JAMB UTME.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes obtained in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations.
- The five credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have credits in English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects related to their intended course of study.
Conditional Admission
The institution also announced provisions for candidates with outstanding O’Level requirements.
- Arts candidates awaiting or remedying a credit pass in Mathematics may be granted conditional admission.
- Science candidates awaiting or remedying a credit pass in English Language may also receive conditional admission, provided the deficiency is remedied within the same academic session.
