General Admission Requirements

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Minimum qualification: First Degree (not below Third Class) or HND (Lower Credit) in a related field

• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

• Five O’ Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects

• Applicants to specialized professional PGDs (e.g., Safety, Crisis Resolution) must have relevant work experience or professional certifications

2. Master’s Degree (Academic and Professional)

• Minimum qualification: Second Class Lower Division in a Bachelor’s degree

• Applicants with relevant PGD may also be considered

• Third Class degree holders with PGD may be eligible

• Five O’ Level credits including English and Mathematics

• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

• Some programmes may require departmental examinations or qualifying tests

3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

• Minimum qualification: Good Master’s Degree (CGPA ≥4.0/5.0 or 3.0/4.0) or M.Phil. in a related field

• Bachelor’s Degree in Second Class Lower Division

• Five O’ Level credits including English and Mathematics

• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

• Other qualifications approved by the University Senate may be considered
