EkoUNIMED Post UTME Eligibility.

The following shall be eligible for the screening:

UTME Candidates

1. UTME Candidates that choose the University with a minimum score of 180 for Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) and 160 for BSc programmes in the 2020/2021 UTME Results.
2. UTME Candidates who did not choose the University (for Medicine & Surgery) but with a minimum score of 180 in the 2020/2021 UTME Results and ready to change to the University as first choice.

Direct Entry Candidates:

Candidates with’ A’ Level/JUPEB Results (Sciences) minimum 10 points or
First Degree with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower in relevant disciplines who had applied for Direct Entry Admission through JAMB into the University.

1. Each eligible candidate should make payment online while completing the Application/ PUTME form. Note; Administrative Charges applied. Each candidate is expected to create a Profile through the University e-Portal https://www.ekounimed.edu.ng/Applicationsand thereafter generate a Payment Invoice. Payment MUST only be made through the e-Portal.

The Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, LASU, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, has vowed to leave the university better than he met it four years ago.

Fagbohun is the eighth substantive VC of the university, and his five-year tenure will lapse in January, 2021.

He gave the assurance on Tuesday when the LASU Financial Sustainability Committee submitted its report to him at the Vice Chancellor ‘s Conference Room, Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo.

Fagbohun, while commending the committee, under the Chairmanship of Professor of Physical Planning, Prof. Ayo Omotayo, said the university management’s resolve to ensure that the university remains financially sustainable in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic informed the creation of the Committee

“It was Covid-19 that informed the formation of this Committee. When you look at the roadmap of our administration, we have five imperatives to build peace, entrench academic excellence, ensure financial stability of the university, consolidate on the gains of previous administrations and be a veritable partner to the government. For us, we have achieved almost all of these imperatives and we were already cruising home.

“However, one of the biggest challenges that we have had to face is being financially sustainable in the face of lean resources. To achieve this, we continued to engage the state government to increase our subventions enough to take care of salaries with the assurance that we would build our internally-generated revenue to drive development within the university.

“It was at the time that our request finally received the governor’s attention that Covid-19 happened, forcing the government to divert priority to other pressing areas.”

Prof. Fagbohun further assured that with the work of the Committee, the university is on its way to becoming financially sustainable, in spite the Covid-19 pandemic and the resultant dip in the university’s resources.

“As a management, we decided that the incoming Vice Chancellor should not inherit the same financial challenge I encountered. We must make the university financially sustainable such that the new administration will not have to start from ground zero. If we want to be fair to the system, we must not leave this university in limbo.”

On the composition of the Committee, he said: “In putting this Committee together, we wanted people who can ask questions, disagree and agree. We wanted critically minded people drawn from all sections of the university who can have diverse but robust perspectives to come up with the kind of answers we want. I thank the members of this Committee for a great job done. Gold and silver we don’t have, but you can be sure that we will express out appreciation to you. ”

He also expressed his joy at the immense support given to him by the university community so far:

“When you see everyone working with one purpose, there is no way you won’t achieve success. I know for a fact that the kind of robust support that I have enjoyed in this system, I am not sure I can enjoy more than that anywhere else. The people of LASU have been there for me. They don’t give excuses, call some of the officers at any time of the day and are available. That is why my memoir will be written and will mention people ‘s names”

The Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Ayo Omotayo, while presenting the report, assured that, if implemented, the report would enhance the university’s financial position in the coming years.

He said, “When you appointed us about two months ago, what we set out to do was look at where we are, where we want to be in five years, and what can we do to get there. You gave us two weeks to submit this report but we recognised that to do something that will stand the test of time, we needed more time.

“This report will help the new VC to quickly identify what direction to follow financially. With this, it is my believe that the next VC will not be running around to pay salaries.

“I thank you for your love for this University. You could have just finished your tenure and go, but you are already thinking ahead about the next administration. It means you love this University and you have seen it as a part of you. I can’t remember any VC that voluntarily handed over to another VC in LASU, but I believe that by God’s grace, when the time comes, we will have a successful baton exchange.”

The Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Lagos Chapter, Comrade Agnes Sessi, who is also a member of the Committee, in a brief remark, thanked the Vice Chancellor for the leadership he has provided in the last four years and prayed that in future, the Vice Chancellor would have another opportunity to serve the university in a new capacity.

The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Kwara State University, Prof. Mashood Mahmood Jimba has drawn the attention of the school authority to a news making the rounds on social media by an anonymous and supposed student of the Kwara State University about insecurity of students’ properties in the hostels and the need for students to come right away to the school to safeguard their property and/or pack them.

Let it be made clear to the students concerned that at no time did the school make any such statement or give a directive to that effect. The university authority is a responsible and responsive one that has, at no time, shirked its responsibility of putting up every reasonable measure in place to ensure the protection of students’ lives and property in the hostels and school in general.

Affected students are therefore enjoined to disregard the fake message emanating from this anonymous source and stay in their respective homes pending the announcement of their resumption by the appropriate authorities.

Kogi State University, located at Anyigba, is the state-owned University of Kogi, Nigeria. It was established in 1999 by Prince Abubakar Audu, the former governor of the state. The management of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) has released the cut-off mark for the 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise.

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, formerly known as Katsina State University, was established under the Katsina State Law No.7 of September, 2006. The Katsina State University was conceived to serve as a nucleus for socio-economic, technological and political development of the State by producing highly skilled human resource through conventional face-to-face and distance learning modes.

UMYU Cut Off Mark.
To participate in UMYU post UTME screening exercise, candidates must have scored a mark not less than 170 in the recently conducted JAMB UTME.

At its Special meeting held on Wednesday, 2nd July, 2020, the Governing Council of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina has approved the appointment of Prof. Sanusi Mamman as the substantive Vice-Chancellor as confirmed by the Visitor to the University.

The appointment is for a single term of 5 years as provided by the University law.

Prof. Mamman’s appointment was as a result of the expiration of the tenure of Prof. Idris Isa Funtua as the Vice-Chancellor on 28th June, 2020.

Prof. Sanusi Mamman is an indigene of Malumfashi Local Government Area, born on the 17th July, 1965. He is a Professor of special Education in the Faculty of Education Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina.

He served as a Deputy Vice Chamcellor (Administration) in the University from 2014 to 2016, he also served as Acting Vice-Chancellor in 2015 prior to the appointment of Prof. Funtua as Vice Chancellor.

The Governing Council and the entire University Community wish Prof. Sunusi Mamman success as he takes over the leadership of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University.

Edo State Polytechnic ND Part Time Admission Requirements:
1. Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2020/2021 UTME Admission are eligible for this Admission Exercise
2. They must have obtained at least five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics as well as three other relevant subjects for your desired course of study in not more than two sittings.

How to Apply for Edo Sate Polytechnic ND Part-Time Admission Form.
The application cost is N5,500.

The procedure for the 2020/2021 Application for Admission for first time applicants is as follows:

Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before starting the application process.

i. Visit http://www.edopoly.edu.ng/ Click on Apply for Admission
Click on Applicants and then select ADMISSION EXERCISE – PART TIME 2020/2021
ii. Click on Register for application at the top left of the displayed page to proceed.
iii. Enter your First name; Middle name; and Surname along with your Email Adress and Phone Number.
iv. Immediately, your ID and Password will be sent to your email. Click on the Link within your email to continue
v. Back On edopoly.waeup.org click on ‘Login’ (top right of the front page).
vi. Enter your username and the password to login.
To start the application process, please click on ‘Edit Application record’ and provide all required information.
vii. Upload a Recent and clear 1” x 1” COLOURED passport photograph

NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the Edo Polytechnic, USEN, .
viii. To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “Pay with Interswitch” on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee of N 5,500:00; with a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria
