Abia State University Post UTME Screening Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session Now on Sale


This is to inform all the Candidates seeking Admission into Abia State University Degree Programmes that the Post UTME Screening Exercise Application form for the 2020/2021 Academic Session is on sale online.

Candidates Qualified for the Screening Exercise

1. Candidates who chose Abia State University as their 1st choice, 2nd choice and those who did not choose the University at all in the UTME, but want to change on JAMB platform.
2. Candidates who scored 160 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
3. Candidates who possess the basic five O’level credit passes in accordance with the University’s Entry Requirements.
4. Candidates with Awaiting Results can also apply, but should so indicate.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE
a. Candidates are expected to register for the Screening Exercise online by logging into http://www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng and making e-payment of Two thousand Naira (N2,000) only, in any of the following Banks

b. Candidates should ensure that their correct details are captured during the application for the Post-UTME screening test.
c. Candidates are not required to upload any photograph or biometric capture, as pictures and biometric of candidates have been supplied by JAMB.
d. Candidates who do not register for the Post UTME Screening Exercise will not be considered for Admission.
e. However, Foreign candidates, Inmates of Correctional Centers (Prisons), as well as, Blind and Deaf candidates are exempted from the Post UTME Screening Exercise.
f. The Registration for the Screening Exercise will commence on Monday, 20th July and end Friday, 21st August, 2020.

SCHEDULE FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

a. The Post-UTME Screening Exercise will take place from Monday, 24th August to Monday, 7th September, 2020 online
b. Candidates are requested to please note that the Screening Exercise is as scheduled in the Screening Exercise slip they printed out after the online registration.
c. Candidates are required to stick to the Examination dates and time on the test slip printed out during the online registration, as consideration will not be given to those who fail to login and take the screening test on the scheduled date and time.
d. Candidates should note that taking the test on their GSM phones or its use as a hotspot is not advisable, as incoming calls may cause serious obstruction.
e. Candidates are advised to ensure that they have internet connectivity before the scheduled time of their examinations.

Igbinedion University Postgraduate General Admission Requirements.
1. A Candidate for Postgraduate Studies in Igbinedion University must have obtained at least five (5) credits in WASC, NECO, GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents) NOTE: A CREDIT PASS IN MATHS AND ENGLISH IS REQUIRED.
2. Four credits at Ordinary level, Plus OND (not pass), NCE, IJMB or Advanced level passes or any other equivalent qualification.
A holder of a Pass (Degree/Diploma) is not qualified for admission into the postgraduate Programmes of the University. He/She must possess PGD to be considered for admission into the Masters Programmes.
3. A candidate applying for the Ph.D in any Programmes of Igbinedion University must have obtained a minimum weighted average score of 60% in the Master’s degree.
4. Only students who have the NYSC discharge, exemption or exclusion Certificate can be allowed to clear into the different courses.

In addition to the above, applicants for:
–Msc Nursing:
i. Must be Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
ii. Must possess a valid Midwifery Council of Nigeria license -PGD
Nursing (PGDN):
iii. Must be Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM)
Must have a first Bachelors degree in related health subjects, e.g. Psychology, Nutrition, etc.

Computer Science:
i. Applicants with degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, BSc.(Ed) Computer may be considered
Physiology:
ii. Applicants with related B.Sc. degree, where Physiology has been part of courses taught could be considered.
iii. MBA from a recognised University can apply for Mphil/Ph.D in Management.

All scanned matriculation oath forms should be sent not later than Friday 7th August 2020 and anyone sent after the deadline will not be treated.

_Please be adequately informed that_:

i. Any candidate for matriculation that is yet to pay approved tuition fees will not be part of the matriculation ceremony.
ii. And any candidate given admission but did not matriculate is not a student and cannot, therefore, take part in the semester examinations. Such candidates can not have Matriculation Numbers to write any examination as bonafide students*.

How to Apply for NDU Basic Studies Admission Form.
Registration is online on our website at www.ndu.edu.ng or at www.ndu.ac starting from Friday, July 10 – Friday, October 30, 2020. The Registration Process is as follows:

1. Go to any Access/Diamond Bank Branch in Nigeria.
Pay a fee of five thousand naira (N5,000.00) only to Account Number 0016405919 and obtain a Teller-Duplicate. The University will not subsidize other charges such as bank charges.
2. Proceed to the School of Pre-Degree and Basic Studies, ICT Building at the New Site and obtain the admission application form at the Basic Studies Unit for your further processes.

In collaboration with the JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATIONS BOARD (JUPEB), the Niger Delta University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-degree Programmes for the 2020/2021 session

The Programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificates which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered by the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and universities abroad. The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificates (HSC) or IJMB.

NDU JUPEB Admission Requirements & Duration.
Candidates seeking admission into the JUPEB Predegree Programmes must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in at least Five (5) subjects at “O” Level, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
The duration of the study is a minimum of one Academic Session of two Semesters. It is strictly a non-residential programme.
