UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS [UNILAG] ACTIVATES POST UTME REGISTRATION PORTAL FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially activated its Post-UTME registration portal for the 2026/2027 academic session, inviting suitably qualified candidates who selected the institution as their first-choice university in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin their admission screening registration.
As one of Nigeria’s most sought-after universities, UNILAG continues to attract thousands of admission seekers annually due to its reputation for academic excellence, quality research, and vibrant campus life. Prospective candidates are therefore advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period and ensure that they meet all admission requirements.
Registration Period
According to the admission guidelines released by the university, online registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise commenced on Monday, 15th June 2026 and will close on Wednesday, 8th July 2026.
Candidates are encouraged not to wait until the closing date before completing their registration to avoid network issues and other challenges that often arise during the final days of registration.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the UNILAG Post-UTME screening exercise, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
– Candidates must have chosen the University of Lagos (UNILAG) as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
– Applicants must have scored 200 and above in the 2026 UTME.
– Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Online Screening Exercise
UNILAG has announced that the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise will be conducted online.
The Online Post-UTME Aptitude Test is scheduled to hold from:
Monday, 27th July 2026 to Friday, 31st July 2026
Candidates are advised to prepare adequately for the screening exercise, as performance in the Post-UTME remains an important factor in the admission selection process.
Importance of Uploading O’Level Results
One of the most important admission requirements is the uploading of O’Level results to JAMB CAPS and the university portal. Candidates who fail to upload their results before the specified deadline may not be considered for admission, even if they meet other admission requirements.
Applicants are therefore advised to verify that their results have been successfully uploaded and reflected on the relevant platforms.
