UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS (UNILAG) ANNOUNCES ORIENTATION PROGRAMME SCHEDULE FOR FRESH STUDENTS FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the dates and full schedule for its 2026/2027 orientation programme for newly admitted students.

The week-long programme is scheduled to commence on Monday, December 7, 2026, and end on Sunday, December 13, 2026.

The orientation programme is designed to familiarise newly admitted UTME, Direct Entry and Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) students with the university’s academic environment, rules, facilities and available support services.

According to the university, the programme will feature interactive sessions on important campus issues, student services, a guided tour of the university, a career onboarding session, the matriculation ceremony, and special Jumat and Thanksgiving services.

Monday, December 7, 2026

• Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Activity: Interactive sessions, campaigns and awareness on sexual harassment, drug abuse, rape, cultism and other related issues.
• Venue: Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall.

Tuesday, December 8, 2026

• Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Activity: Interactive sessions on library and information services, bursary services, health services and insurance, security services and other student support services.
• Venue: Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall.

Wednesday, December 9, 2026

• Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Activity: Interactive session on examination regulations, social misconduct and penalties, entrepreneurship and other related topics.
• Venue: Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall.

Thursday, December 10, 2026

• Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
• Activity: Guided tour of the university and career onboarding programme.

Matriculation Ceremony

Who Should Attend the UNILAG Orientation Programme?

The orientation programme is intended for all newly admitted students in the following categories:
