UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN (UNILORIN) RELEASES APPROVED UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially released the approved 2026/2027 Academic Calendar for undergraduate students. The calendar outlines the schedule of academic activities for both fresh and returning students, including registration, lectures, continuous assessment, examinations, semester breaks, matriculation, and Senate meetings.

According to the calendar, the 2026/2027 academic session will officially commence on Monday, 5th October, 2026, with registration for both new and returning students beginning on the same day. Students are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period to avoid late registration penalties.

Registration Schedule

• Commencement of Academic Session: Monday, 5th October, 2026
• Registration for New and Returning Students: Monday, 5th – Friday, 16th October, 2026

Harmattan Semester Activities

Academic activities for the Harmattan Semester will begin with lectures on Monday, 19th October, 2026, while matriculation for newly admitted students has been scheduled for Friday, 27th November, 2026. The university will also observe a semester break from 24th December, 2026 to 4th January, 2027.

Rain Semester Activities
