UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS [UNILAG] RELEASES DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Direct Entry (DE) admission registration for candidates seeking admission into all undergraduate programmes and courses.

The online registration exercise will commence on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and close on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

UNILAG Direct Entry Registration 2026/2027

Eligible Direct Entry candidates are required to complete their registration online through the University’s application portal.

Candidates should visit and follow the prescribed registration procedure.

How to Register for UNILAG Direct Entry

Eligible candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Click “Start New Application” on the UNILAG application portal.
  2. Select “Undergraduate” as the Application Type.
  3. Log in using the DE JAMB Registration Number as the username.
  4. Use the candidate’s surname in lowercase as the password.
  5. Generate and print the payment advice.
  6. Make payment either at a commercial bank or through the online payment option.
  7. Return to the UNILAG portal and click “Continue Application.”
  8. Complete the application form.
  9. Upload the relevant academic results and certificates.
  10. Click “Preview” to carefully check the information provided.
  11. Click “Submit.”
  12. Print the Direct Entry Application Slip for future reference.

Results and Qualifications to Upload

Candidates are required to upload relevant qualifications applicable to their Direct Entry application. These may include:

  • First Degree
  • HND
  • OND
  • SDA
  • JUPEB
  • Cambridge A’ Level
  • NCE
  • NFLV Diploma
  • MUSON Diploma
  • ABRSM
  • Trinity College London
  • Baccalaureate
  • DELF/DALF
  • O’Level results

UNILAG Direct Entry Eligibility

Candidates who selected University of Lagos as their first-choice institution in the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry application are eligible to register.

Candidates are also required to possess five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Age Requirement

Candidates who will not be 16 years old by September 30, 2026 are not eligible to apply.

Applicants should also ensure that their personal information, including name, date of birth, state of origin and LGA, is consistent across all documents and results.

Candidates who fail to participate in the online registration exercise will not be considered for admission.

UNILAG Direct Entry Application Fee

The application fee stated in the notice is ₦3,500.

Important Information for Former UNILAG Students

Former students whose admission was withdrawn due to poor academic performance or absence may re-apply, provided the new admission is for a different programme or course from the previous one.

However, students who were expelled from the University are not eligible for fresh admission.

UNILAG Drug Abuse Policy

The University of Lagos maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards drug abuse.

The University may withdraw the admission of newly admitted students who test positive for drug use when the University conducts its test, whether the test is conducted before or after registration.
