We are not a tool for money extortion,” writes Federal Polytechnic Oko SUG to the Rector in response to lecturers’ exorbitant textbook charges.
The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state’s Students’ Union Government (SUG) has written to the institution’s Rector, warning him about the institution’s exorbitant textbook costs.
The Rector was asked in a letter signed by the SUG president to cease all book sales while the institution establishes a consolidated and more reliable book pricing policy.

Below are photos of the letter as well as prices for first semester books a each department in School of Science amounting to over 65 thousand naira.
