SA’ADU ZUNGUR UNIVERSITY (SAZUG) RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to formally inform the general public, especially all prospective candidates who selected Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau as their first choice institution, that the University has commenced its online screening exercise for admission into various undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This follows the recent approval of 150 points as the minimum admissible cut-off mark for all programmes. In line with this, candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have selected the University as their first choice are advised to proceed with the screening exercise.

DATE FOR COMMENCEMENT OF SCREENING

The online screening exercise is scheduled to commence on Friday, 11th July, 2025, and all eligible candidates are required to complete the process as early as possible to avoid last-minute delays or errors.

SCREENING PROCEDURE

Candidates should visit the University’s official website at: www.basug.edu.ng

and follow the instructions provided to complete the online screening application.

Applicants will be required to:

Create a personal screening profile/account on the portal.

Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 only, via the designated payment gateway.

Provide accurate personal, academic, and contact information.

Upload scanned copies of their O’ level results, recent passport photograph, JAMB result slip, and any other relevant documents.

NOTE: Candidates who are awaiting their O’ level results must indicate clearly “AWAITING RESULT (AR)” in the grade columns of the application form. Once such results are released by the relevant examination bodies (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), candidates must update their records and present the results during the physical screening phase that will be announced later.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for admission and participate in the online screening, candidates must meet the following requirements:

For UTME Candidates:

a) Must have obtained a minimum score of 150 in the 2025 UTME.

b) Must have selected Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau as first choice during JAMB registration.

c) Must possess a minimum of five (5) relevant O’ level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two (2) sittings.

d) Must have sat for the relevant UTME subject combination applicable to their chosen course.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

In addition to the O’ level requirements above, DE candidates must:

Have scored a minimum of 7 points in IJMB or NCE

Or possess at least Lower Credit in a relevant National Diploma (ND) programme

All Direct Entry candidates must also upload scanned copies of their academic transcripts, DE acknowledgment slip, and other supporting documents on the portal.

MODE OF PAYMENT

Candidates are to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 only through the online screening portal: https://basugscreened.admission.cloud

Payment can be made using a valid ATM card or through any of the available online payment methods integrated into the portal.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Candidates are advised to use a valid and active email address and phone number for the screening registration and future correspondence.

The University will not entertain any complaints of inability to access the portal due to incorrect or invalid email addresses.

Misrepresentation of information or falsification of documents during the screening process will lead to automatic disqualification and possible prosecution.

The date for physical screening and other updates will be announced via the University’s official platforms in due course.
